I.TARU Communication Resumes
Hello,
This is Ishida, owner of the Japan-made automatic watch brand I.TARU, established in 2022.
It has been a while since I last sent out a newsletter, but I would like to start sharing updates again little by little.
For about the past 11 months, I had stopped posting updates about the watch business.
There were several reasons, but the biggest one was the impact of U.S. tariff policies.
Many of our watches are purchased from overseas customers, especially from the United States.
However, over the past year, there was a sharp increase in cases where international shipping companies refused to handle shipments.
Even the logistics companies themselves seemed to struggle with the constantly changing tariff regulations.
Sometimes the headquarters would approve a shipment while the local branch would decline it — and sometimes the opposite.
Because of this, some customers had to wait nearly two months for their watches to arrive, and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused.
To better understand the situation, I personally visited several shipping company branches to confirm their policies and handling procedures.
Now that the situation has become more stable and the chances of shipments being refused have greatly decreased, I decided it was a good time to resume communication.

Interestingly, even during the period when I stopped posting updates, a few watches continued to sell each month.
To be honest, this surprised me.
I believe this was thanks to the consistent communication we had built before.
Around last Christmas, we also had more purchases than I expected.
One customer from the United States told me that an overseas watch YouTuber had introduced I.TARU in a reel.
Apparently it was shared somewhere without me even knowing.
I am grateful that the brand continues to spread naturally among people who find it interesting.
No rush — but steadily.
This year, we are also preparing a new collection provided by our manufacturing partners.
If everything goes well, I hope to introduce it around this summer.
Through this newsletter, I will continue sharing updates and stories behind the brand little by little.
